Just as we also know that prices are going to tumble for another 12-18 months, that money isn't going to be any harder to get then than it is now, and that median prices are dependent on a multiple of median incomes and nothing else in the long run. <BR/><BR/>When local medians drop below 4X, I'll start looking seriously. At 3X, I'll be ready to pull the trigger. Until then I'll rent and accumulate capital.<BR/><BR/>Hell, I just bought a '96 Nissan Sentra for $200 from a kid who was broke and leaving town. It's got a couple of dents but is mechanically sound and can run all the errands I need to do in a car around town for $10 a week. That way I can park the minivan unless I need to haul something.
